How is VisionTek able to open their Xtasy line of products to the CD-RW market so quickly? They quite simply, and intelligently, chose to remark drives made by CD-RW powerhouse LiteOn. This is nothing new as there are many other manufacturers will purchase drives produced by other companies, re-mark and resell them. Thus, they will cut down on manufacturing and R&D costs dramatically, and also allows a company to leverage its great customer service and pricing structure to better compete with others.
