LG's 55-inch 'world's largest' OLED HDTV panel, to be shown off at CES 2012

CES 2012 waves it starting flag in just a few days, and ahead of the show, LG has promised the "world's largest" OLED panel for the show. LG will be showing off a 55-inch OLED HDTV for mid-2012, with this news virtually guaranteeing that LG is ready to go mainstream with OLED technology.

LG's technology uses white OLED overlaid with colors, which tehy claim makes for a lower error rate and clearer "ultra definition" screen, with more colors than standard LCDs. The screen is shown off in a picture below where it is thinner than a pen. A damn pen!

I think the only way I'll be able to accurately report on this HDTV in the future is to use one myself, right, LG? E-mail address is available on our website, and my shipping address I'm happy to give away over e-mail, I mean, I'll take one of these, but I won't be happy with it. Sarcasm all the way, of course. These screens looks impressive and I can't wait to get more details on them when CES starts on January 9.
