ASUS' new low-end slate, Transformer Pad 300

By: (more) | Mobile Devices, Tablets & Phones News | Posted: Feb 28, 2012 12:54 am

ASUS have a few tablets in the wild now, the original Eee Pad Transformer, the Transformer Prime (TF201), Transformer Prime (TF700T) and now the Transformer Pad 300. That's alot of transforming, and a lot of tablet hotness right there.

Transformer Pad 300 is ASUS' new foray into the tablet market with a new name for their Transformer range of tablets. Transformer Pad 300 sports a 10-inch IPS (not Super IPS+) display, 16GB of storage, Tegra 3, 1GB of RAM, Android 4.0 ICS, 1280x800-pixel display, dual 8- and 2-megapixel cameras. Some models will sport LTE radio, some won't. Transformer Pad 300, if you didn't know any better, was the original Transformer Prime.

But ASUS have cut away the Super IPS+ display, and the higher 32 and 64GB models. ASUS seem to be going crazy with their tablets, which I can't figure out is a good thing, or a bad thing.
