Gorilla Glass 2, coming to a screen near you soon

Corning are famous for their scratch-defying Gorilla Glass technology, with the announcement from Corning at CES that Gorilla Glass 2 had shipped to device makers, where consumers should be able to purchase products with Gorilla Glass 2 in Spring.

The new damage-resistant glass is said to be not only slimmer than its predecessor, but it will offer brighter images, and have greater touch sensitivity. Various companies have confirmed their tablets will sport Gorilla Glass 2 at Mobile World Congress this week, including ASUS and Acer.

ASUS are one of the companies truly dedicated to Gorilla Glass 2 for its new tablets unveiled at MWC, including the just-announced Infinity, and Transformer Pad 300. I'm looking forward to seeing products roll out with Gorilla Glass 2.
