Introducing TweakTown version 2012!

By: (more) | TweakTown News | Posted: Mar 10, 2012 10:20 am

As long as we didn't break the internet, you should be seeing our brand new design! Over our 13 year history we haven't properly kept track of design version changes, so we are just going to call this version 2012.

We would like to send out a big thank you to Nathan Davison who spent a lot of time creating this wonderful new design for us.

The new design offers a more modern, simple yet stylish feel over our previous designs. It uses some pretty impressive web technologies too including HTML5 elements and CSS3 for many of the effects you see. We also included many jQuery and AJAX effects for a more interactive experience. You can now disable the alert bar if you don't want to see it as well as hover over certain icons which provides a tooltip for where the link goes to. You can now also quickly see our latest content by using the back and forth buttons on the front page under the latest new content area.

Our new site also loads very fast as a result of extensive tweaking and use of the aforementioned web technologies. There still many a few bugs here and there and we encourage you to contact us if you find any and we will get them taken care of as soon as we can. Enjoy our new design and we welcome your feedback!
