It's being said that Nokia and Microsoft will team up to enter the tablet PC market by releasing a 10-inch, Windows 8-based tablet which is set to be based on Qualcomm's dual-core chip, according to DigiTimes. The device would be released in Q4 of this year, at the earliest.

The sources have said that Nokia is expected to outsource production of the 10-inch tablets to Compal Electronics, where the first batch out of the factory would contain just 200,000 units. Just 200,000 units, is something people should be stuck on. This seems like a "let's just test the market out first", or are Nokia scared of the constant onslaught that is the iPad.

This is now shown as a move of Nokia joining WoA (Windows on ARM) and we should expect Microsoft to gain strength to compete with not just Apple and their iPad, but also the upcoming Android 5.0-based tablets that will hit the market at around the same time.
