Google Go gets its first proper release
Comment | Print | Email to a Friend | Font Size: AAGoogle have finally gotten around to releasing Google Go, which was announced in 2009, with the software hitting version 1.0. Google Go is set to bring a general networked and multi-core computing language.
Part of the release includes Go supporting Windows-based developers, natively, for the first time. Go, in part, is derived from C. It mixes all design concepts from Pascal, Newsqueak, and Limbo. Go's development team claims that the version 1.0 release is very stable, and will be forward compatible with future releases.
At the same time, Google has updated their cloud-based App Engine SDK to support Go.
