RumorTT: Samsung Galaxy S3 display to rival the iPhone's

By: (more) | Mobile Devices, Tablets & Phones News | Posted: Mar 30, 2012 7:29 pm

Here's another juicy nugget regarding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3. Reports are suggesting that the yet unreleased Samsung Galaxy S3 phone will be sporting a Super AMOLED HD plus display when it finally lands in Q2 or Q3 of this year. Digitimes spoke to some of Samsung's supply chain and found that the phone is likely to ship with a 4.6-inch display.

The massive display is supposed to be featuring a pixel density of 319ppi. This will rival that of the iPhone's Retina display. Samsung's AMOLED has several benefits over a traditional LCD such as power consumption, weight, and thickness. We still have no idea when the phone will be released, but this rumor is just another reason to anticipate its release.
