Ashton Kutcher landed the starring role in Two and a Half Men, after a very public departure from Charlie Sheen, and is now set to star in an upcoming film, "Jobs". Jobs will be a film that will chronicle Jobs' life from his teenage year through to the co-founding of Apple.
The film is set to be directed by Joshua Michael Stern, who directed Swing Vote, and is based on a script by Matt Whiteley. Mark Hulme from Five Star Institute is providing financial backing for the indie movie. MTV has noted that Kutcher has established a reputation as a romantic comedy actor in films such as "New Years Eve" and "What Happens in Vegas", but hasn't proved himself as a dramatic lead in movies outside of his 2004 film "The Butterfly Effect" and 2006's "Bobby".
It's hard to deny that Kutcher doesn't look like Jobs, just look at them side-by-side in that picture above. Quite the resemblance. One would think after the success of The Social Network that there would be considerable weight, in the form of budget, actors and director behind a Steve Jobs film, strange indeed.
