It's official: Sprint is getting the HTC Evo 4G LTE, has HD voice and big battery

At HTC's live event Wednesday, they rolled out the HTC Evo 4G LTE phone. This phone will be the first in the United States with HD voice. The Evo 4G LTE is an adaptation of the HTC One X which has been previously released. The adaptation is pretty much as expected. The LTE nomenclature represents the next step in Sprint's network.

The LTE network is replacing the now end of life WiMax network that Sprint had been using and should bring better internet speed to mobile users. The phone has a high-capacity 2,000mAh battery to address the issues of the short battery life experienced by the One X. Additionally, the quad-core Tegra 3 has been switched out for a 1.5Ghz dual-core Snapdragon processor.

The phone also brings back the iconic kickstand that makes watching video on a long flight just a little bit more enjoyable. It has a rear 8MP camera with flash and a front 1.3MP camera. It comes with a 4.7-inch 720p screen which should be pretty nice for viewing videos. It will have Android 4.0 with the Sense 4.0 along with Beats Audio processing for all apps.
