Flurry Revamps Its Free Mobile App Analytics With Custom Tracking and Alerts

By: (more) | Apps News | Posted: Apr 6, 2012 6:28 pm

San Francisco-based Flurry hardly makes any direct revenue from its mobile app analytics, yet the product has become so popular that 1/3 of iOS apps and 1/4 Android ones downloaded from Google's Android app store includes it. The company, revenue aside, is revamping the app to include several more features.

These new features are custom dashboards, alerts and funnel analysis. These allow users of the software to more easily see what they want and need to see. This includes important metrics such as user retention or the number of users who complete an in-app purchases. Alerts can be set up to alert a developer if usage suddenly spikes or decreases.

The app has some incredible stats associated with it. The company sees about 500 million unique smartphones or tablets per month, tracks 300 billion data transactions per month and sees 1.2 billion sessions per day. All of these are continuing to increase as well. The free price tag is pretty attractive and has pulled down the market prices for in-app analytics.
