Acer's Iconia Tab A500 Android 4.0 update has arrived a few days early, for some
Comment | Print | Email to a Friend | Font Size: AAA bit of a quick one here, folks. Acer's Iconia Tab A500 tablet owners should take note here, some folks are seeing updates to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for their 7-inch A100 and 10.1-inch A500 Tabs.
Acer previously noted that the A500 wouldn't lick any of that delicious Ice Cream Sandwich update until April 27th in the US or Canada, but some people are reportedly seeing their over-the-air (OTA) updates hitting their Tabs. If you're rocking an A500, manually check for an update, as you might be a little surprised.
The jump from Android 3.x Honeycomb to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is a good one, I definitely suggest making the move.
