RumorTT: Apple iPod Touch set for redesign, according to report
It's been about two years since the last iPod Touch refresh was released and rumors are saying another one is coming. Back in 2010, the iPod Touch fourth-generation was released and brought with it a front and rear camera and a Retina display. Since then, the iPod Touch has proved popular with a wide variety of users but has seemingly been neglected by the media and Apple.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, a person who has been very accurate on previous predictions for Apple products, has said that the iPod Touch refresh will be released in September-October alongside the iPhone 5 and an updated iPod Nano. Kuo predicts the fifth-generation iPod touch will use in-cell technology, something rumored to be used in the iPhone 5.
In-cell technology allows the screen to be thinner. However, a thinner screen doesn't mean a thinner device. Apple could completely rework the internals or use the extra space for a larger battery, something most users would surely appreciate. It's also likely to get a 4-inch screen to replace the current 3.5-inch one and will probably be upgraded to the A5 SoC.
