Mark Zuckerberg says that it doesn't make sense for Facebook to build their own phone
Comment | Print | Email to a Friend | Font Size: AALot's of Facebook news and talk today thanks to their first finance report since the social networking site went public with its IPO a couple of months ago, and during the earnings call, CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg was probed about the rumors of Facebook building their own phone with HTC, with Zuckerberg saying:
Building out a whole phone really wouldn't make much sense for us to do.
This is the first time that Facebook has actually come out and said that they aren't making a Facebook-branded phone. Considering the talk of the social networking site employing ex-Apple engineers who worked on the iPhone and iPad, maybe they hired them to make their iOS-based Facebook app better?
