Mark Zuckerberg says that it doesn't make sense for Facebook to build their own phone

Lot's of Facebook news and talk today thanks to their first finance report since the social networking site went public with its IPO a couple of months ago, and during the earnings call, CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg was probed about the rumors of Facebook building their own phone with HTC, with Zuckerberg saying:

Building out a whole phone really wouldn't make much sense for us to do.

 

This is the first time that Facebook has actually come out and said that they aren't making a Facebook-branded phone. Considering the talk of the social networking site employing ex-Apple engineers who worked on the iPhone and iPad, maybe they hired them to make their iOS-based Facebook app better?
