Apple lawyer shows internal Samsung documents that claims the iPhone is "easy to copy"
The first shot has been fired in the Apple vs. Samsung lawsuit, with Apple's lawyer, Harold McElhinny providing documents that show that Samsung thought the iPhone was "easy to copy". McElhinny also showed documents prepared by a Samsung exec that claim the company was in a "crisis of design" because of the iPhone.

The presentation includes the above picture, showing the evolution of Samsung's phone design pre-iPhone, and now. McElhinny also stated that "as we all know, it is easier to copy than innovate. Apple had already taken the risks".
But, just saying that the hardware is easily copied isn't proof of copying it, which is why the lawyer returned to evidence introduced pre-trial, showing Samsung's phones before 2007 (and the iPhones launch), and Samsung's phones post-iPhone release. McElhinny's argument would now be how Samsung went from the pre-iPhone designs on the left, to the post-iPhone designs on the right.
