LG's 'superphone', the Optimus G 'really flies'

By: (more) | Mobile Devices, Tablets & Phones News | Posted: Aug 26, 2012 4:42 am

LG's upcoming 'superphone' has already enjoyed a nice little teaser campaign, but the Optimus G is now firmly in the hands of AndroidMX, where they've done some testing on the device.

Optimus G should sport Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and a 4.7-inch 1280x768 IPS display. We're also looking at an Adreno 320GB, Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The peeps over at AndroidMX had some hands-on time with it and have said that the Optimus G "really flies". The only problem I'm seeing with this otherwise nicely specced phone, is it doesn't include Google's latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. Hopefully LG are able to update it before it reaches shelves, and the hands of users.
