RumorTT: Amazon to release their own smartphone, could be announced tomorrow
The Verge have quite the exclusive tonight, reporting that Retail giant Amazon could announce their own smartphone tomorrow. The Verge report from "multiple sources" that Amazon are indeed working on a smartphone.

This smartphone would run on a "variant of the Kindle Fire's Android-based operating system", and should be unveiled to the press tomorrow. The phone is reportedly not in a finished state, which means even if it is announced tomorrow, it'll be a little while before we see the smartphone hit shelves or e-tailers.
The Verge expect it to run a "forked" version of Android, which will include Nokia Maps as the location solution over Google Maps, which is what forking means. Nokia also spoke today about adding a "major" mapping partner at their own Windows Phone event, and Amazon is big enough to be a major partner, wouldn't you agree?
