Nexus 7's front-facing camera hacked, upgraded to 720p video

ASUS' Nexus 7's front-facing camera is nothing to write home about, with the ability to shoot just 480p video. There's no rear-facing camera, meaning that if you want to take video, your stuck with a low-quality camera to do so. Well, not anymore.

Some peeps over at the XDA Forums have made a hack, making the Nexus 7 now shoot 720p video at a hardware level. New Zealand-based developer, 'hillbeast', says that Google just didn't tell the Nexus 7 how to shoot in 720p, weird, huh?
