Apple make the first iOops with the iPhone 5, describe it as the world thinnest smartphone when it's not

Apple can do one thing other companies can't, talk facts and when marketed well enough, they become truth. Well, Paul Schiller, Senior VP of Worldwide Marketing describes the iPhone 5 as the "world's thinnest smartphone".

Schiller said this during Apple's press conference yesterday, but research firm Strategy Analytics actually points out that Apple are completely wrong. There are smartphones on the market that are thinner than the iPhone 5.

Apple's iPhone 5 is 7.6mm thick, but Motorola trots along with three smartphones that all measure in at just 7.1mm: the Motorola RAZR XT909, the Motorola DROID RAZR and the Motorola RAZR XT910. Looks like Apple have some explaining to do.
