Doom 3, leaked?

By: (more) | Posted: Nov 1, 2002 6:41 am

A post over at Warp2Search suggests that the Doom 3 E3 Alpha may have leaked its way on to the Internet. A Canadian website has posted a whole bunch of new screenshots with the assistance of HyperSnap, which tends to back up the rumor that D3 has in fact leaked.

Simply out of this world…

The graphics are just as I expected. During Computex in Taiwan this year, Derek Perez (nVidia's PR manager), explained to me in a visual presentation that Doom 3 and other future titles would be close to matching cinematic quality. Derek drew a time line of the history of PC and cinematic graphics quality - and next year he suggested that PC graphics would be only slightly behind cinematic level. I'd believe it, looking at these screenshots. Boy are we in for some fun next year!
