AMD and nVidia mobility News

By: (more) | Posted: Nov 12, 2002 3:26 am

Firstly the gents over at The Inquirer are suggesting that nVidia will launch their NV28M mobile chip later this month at Comdex - which, no doubt, will be over-shadowed by the release of the NV30 sometime during the event. The NV28M will be a cut down version of the GeForce4 with AGP 8x bus running at a default clock speed of 200MHz core and memory to compete against ATi's Radeon mobility 9000 chip. Either way, it's more than enough power to fire up your latest FPS and battle away on your new notebook.

And once you've got the new NV28m chip, you're going to have to be aware of the fact that AMD has just released their Mobile Athlon XP 2200+ processor. Notebook computing is certainly proceeding in leaps and bounds today.
