Sharp has just entered the tablet game with the announcement of their Aquos Pad, which will be a 7-inch tablet sporting the company's IGZO display. The Aquos Pad should hopefully arrive sometime in early-December.

The 7-inch tablet sports a 1280x800-pixel display, a 2040mAh battery and with the included technologies, Sharp says that battery life should exceed 2.5 times the current battery life in current-gen tablets. The IGZO technology should also arrive in Apple's upcoming iPad mini which will be announced next week.

The IGZO display will pave the way for lower power consumption, greater translucency and a higher touch accuracy. The first device to use the tech will be the company's Aquos Phone Zeta, which is a 4.9-inch smartphone with a 1280x720-pixel display. We should see this sometime in November or December in Japan at first.
