Target is feeling a little festive this year, and have decided to match the prices of competitors through the holiday period. Target will not only match rival retailers like Walmart, Best Buy and Toys R Us, but they'll also match Amazon's prices between November 1 and December 24.
Target will now match most retail stores, and its biggest competitor, Amazon, but won't include third-party Amazon merchants. Target have also enhancing their "digital shopping experience" by offering QR codes net to hot items so that customers can buy them online and have them shipped anywhere in the US for free if they're out of stock.
Free Wi-Fi is also on offer in all of their stores, and certain stores will demo wayfinding technology that will help consumers navigate Target stores on their phones. Target have also increased their online infrastructure. Technical issues have been blamed for downtime over the previous holidays, so in order to have this not happen again the company can now reportedly handle triple the amount of shoppers on their site at once.
