Halo 4 launch trailer pops up on YouTube, many gamers surely excited

By: (more) | Gaming News | Posted: Oct 19, 2012 6:32 pm

Halo 4's launch is just around the corner, and by that I mean it's coming out on November 6. In anticipation of this launch, 343 Industries, a Microsoft-owned game studio, has released a launch trailer to drum up excitement for the new game. And to be quite blunt, the game looks absolutely fabulous.

The video examines Master Chief's back story, leading the user from the time he was a child to him becoming a war hero. The video, seen above, features live-action footage (real people) paired with CGI. It's a nicely done clip, though I don't really know fully what's going on. I never really got into Halo.

This is the first of a new trilogy for the series and features a new antagonist. 343 Industries bills the antagonist as "an ancient evil that threatens the fate of the entire universe." Halo 4 will be available on Xbox 360 starting November 6. The Standard version will be $60 and come with just the game. A Limited Edition version will contain an extended 90-minute version of "Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn" and other extras. It will set you back $100.
