Nintendo's Wii U gets advertised in the UK
Nintendo has launched their first Wii U ad in the UK, showing off the next-gen console's new abilities, such as the dual-screen capabilities, as well as a slew of new games.
These games are made up of the New Super Mario Bros. U, Mass Effect 3, Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition and other titles, all tuned specifically for the new Wii U console. Nintendo makes a point of the Wii U, as a "new console with a new controller", making sure that consumers don't get mixed up that it's not just another Wii.
Nintendo chose to air the new ad in the UK at a very specific time, late at night - suggesting that the company is trying to tease their console to dedicated gamers before pushing it to the bigger, more broad audience. The Wii U drops on November 18 in the US, and in Japan on December 8. In the UK, where the ad was played, it will arrive on November 30 (across Europe).
