Athlon XP 333MHz FSB parts start showing up

By: (more) | Posted: Nov 13, 2002 4:41 am

AMD fans should start to rejoice as we head back to The Inquirer for this short news piece. Apparently a distributor in the UK sent word that they have started to receive Athlon XP 2600+ parts with eagerly awaited 333MHz FSB support as well as short supplies of 2700+ 333MHz FSB parts. Defiantly good news for AMD processor fans all around the world - but when will we see these parts in some type of quantity?

This week, we learn that stocks of 2600+ chips with the 333MHz FSB (coo!) are tipping up in some volume. Distributors are getting them through and some are available retail. A reader points to http://www.scan.co.uk who are offering the 2600+ for around £250 (each!).
