Microsoft release DirectX 9 RC 0 to public
As a follow-up to our news post yesterday regarding DirectX 9, today we learned at Warp2Search that Microsoft released RC 0 BETA to the public for download. I must stress, if you are going to install these drivers, use them at your own risk - Who remembers the fiascos back in the DX7 and DX8 days? Yeah, those days!
Microsoft DirectX is a group of technologies designed to make Windows-based computers an ideal platform for running and displaying applications rich in multimedia elements such as full-color graphics, video, 3D animation, and rich audio. DirectX 9.0 includes security and performance updates, along with many new features across all technologies, which can be accessed by applications using the DirectX 9.0 APIs.More information @ Microsoft
