Pumpkin running playable Tetris game wins Halloween

By: (more) | Tweaking & Overclocking News | Posted: Oct 31, 2012 3:38 pm

For everyone outside of New Jersey, today is officially Halloween which means you can expect a kid or two to come knocking on your door looking for candy. It's also a time where pumpkin carvers around the world can finally show off their skills, although after seeing this pumpkin, I think pumpkin carving for this Halloween is officially over.

Instead of going with a Gangnam Style pumpkin, Nathan Pryor decided to make his pumpkin a little more interactive as he was able to fit 128 LEDs into it as well as tweaked the stem into a working joystick so visitors could play Tetris. Not only does it play Tetris, but the pumpkin even keeps track of the player's score and shows what the current high score is.

Pryor goes into detail as to how exactly he was able to create "Pumpktris" on his blog for those of you who would like to have your own Tetris-running Pumpkin for Halloween. Seeing as how much work went into it, I highly doubt you'll be able to pull off this off in time for trick-or-treaters to enjoy this evening.
