Detonator 4 is here!

By: (more) | Posted: Sep 11, 2001 4:26 am

After the preview of the new nVidia Detonator 4 drivers by Anand at AnandTech, the whole web community was in a craze -- A craze to get a hold of these drivers which promised a 30% to 50% increase in performance - I'm about to give them a try, so I can't say for myself just yet. I've been told that nVidia rushed out these drivers, eariler than expected. Reason being, AnandTech previewed ATI's new Radeon 8500 & 7500 graphics cards, which with very new drivers was out performing the nVidia GeForce3 - nVidia then got to work at creating and releasing these Detonator 4 drivers much quicker, as they gave back the performance edge to the GeForce3. You can download the drivers from our friends over at Hot Hardware!
