AT&T to sell Samsung Galaxy Camera November 16 for $500

By: (more) | Mobile Devices, Tablets & Phones News | Posted: Nov 13, 2012 2:32 am

AT&T will be getting the Samsung Galaxy Camera as of November 16. At that time, AT&T will make the new device available for $499.99, regardless of whether or not a purchaser buys a data plan. The whole idea behind the camera doesn't exactly make sense to me, but what do I know. I'm sure our resident Android fanatic, who shall remain nameless, loves the idea.

The camera uses Android 4.1 as the operating system and will have access to Android apps. It sports a 1.4GHz processor, 4.8-inch HD Super Clear LCD, 21x optical zoom, and a 16-megapixel backside illuminated CMOS sensor. Other than having what would seem to be a good camera sensor, the specifications are in line with most high-end Android smartphones.

I'm just hoping that 16-megapixel sensor doesn't go to waste by people using Instagram on the device.
