The new 3DMark will bench your Windows, Windows RT, iOS and Android devices

Futuremark don't stop - and they've taken all advice on-board when it comes to the next version of their benchmarking software, 3DMark. The new 3DMark is set to raise the benchmarking bar, as it will compare results against Windows, Android and iOS, on a "fair and level playing field".

The next 3DMark is set to measure the performance on Windows, Windows RT, iOS and Android devices, all while comparing scores against the respective platforms. The Windows version will also let you test all hardware from DirectX 9 up to DirectX 11.

There'll be there separate tests with the next 3DMark, where you'll be able to bench products from smartphones to tablets, desktop PCs to your simple notebook. Multi-GPU setups of course don't miss out, and Futuremark have said that in their opinion, "it is the best and most versatile benchmark we have ever created".
