Samsung don't just have a twelve-month release cycle like their competition, nor do they just have one flagship product, with a second in development. They continue to innovate, and try to keep more than one portion of consumers happy - this latest news could change the entire market.

Samsung have been working on bendable screen technology for a while, but according to a new report by The Wall Street Journal, they're working on display screens made with plastic that could make phones "unbreakable". The South Korean company are reportedly in the final stages of development, and hope to be the first company on the market to start mass production of the interesting new technology.

The new unbreakable screens use OLD technology to emit images, as OLED is thin and can be put onto flexible displays. Instead of using glass, plastic is used to make the phones lighter, with the more durable display. Samsung have told the WSJ that they are already some consumers testing out the new display, and according to an unnamed source in the report, Samsung hope to bake this new tech into displays and put them on the market in the first half of 2013.
