If you've been thrashing that Galaxy S III of yours and would like some better battery life out of it, well, you might be pleased to know that Samsung will be releasing their extended battery for the smartphone in Germany this weekend coming.

The news has arrived from Amazon Germany, where it's listed on Amazon.de known as the Samsung Extended Battery Kit and will be made available on January 5. Pricing should be around 40 euros which is in line with the UK pricing of around 48 euros. There's no more information on whether the extended battery will be made available outside of Germany, but I'm sure it'll just be a matter of time.
