Microsoft research campus burgled, only iPads stolen
It's usually a big deal when a research lab is broken into. Top secret projects, proprietary property, and classified formulas are usually the items that the thieves are after, but not this time.

Over the weekend a report that, the Microsoft Research campus in Mountain View, California was broken into sometime in December. Three offices in Building 5 were breached and it appears that the only items taken were several Apple iPads.
Two Apple iPad 2's and two iPad 3's were taken and valued in excess of $3,000. A fifth tablet, described as an iPad 4 was taken and reportedly valued as $729. The interesting thing here is that not a single Microsoft product, bit of information, or other item was taken. Police report no forced entry and stated that this may be an "inside job".
