Samsung won't have any Windows RT-based tablets for the US market anytime soon

Windows RT-based tablets aren't quite making the splash that Microsoft wanted, with a big player already pulling out of the US market. South Korean electronics giant Samsung have confirmed to CNET that their ATIV Tab will not be sold, nor distributed throughout the United States.

Samsung's decision comes from feedback from retail partners which have suggested that a Windows RT-based device in the US wouldn't be successful to launch from Samsung. The South Korean company have also said that the lack of education about Windows RT is a factor, and that it would be too much of an investment to inform customers of the differences between Windows RT and Windows 8.

Samsung will now wait and see how to tackle the Windows RT market, where they'll watch it from a distance and see how it develops.
