The new 3DMark will arrive when it's ready, will be here "sooner rather than later"

Futuremark's upcoming new 3DMark is set to be quite different to the previous iterations of the benchmarking software, as it moves into cross-platform territory. Futuremark President Oliver Baltuch has come out and said that he is constantly bugged with questions of when the new 3DMark will arrive, to which he says:

I cannot confirm a launch date with now. Simply put, 3DMark will be ready when it's ready, which we expect will be sooner rather than later.

It is nice to know that it's coming "sooner rather than later", and that it's cross-platform. I quite excited for the new 3DMark, being able to test something between devices is going to be utterly awesome for us here at TweakTown to give you, our dear, awesome readers a much better benchmarking method across multiple devices and platforms.
