3DMark 2003 not far off

By: (more) | Posted: Jan 18, 2003 1:55 am

Futuremark, the company formerly known as Madonion, released a 20 second teaser to the public today of the upcoming 3DMark 2003 benchmark.

The file weighs in at around 5mb and can be downloaded from a list of mirrors through the following link. The '03 release of the world most famous gamers benchmark could not be too far off - after all, we need something to benchmark our new GeForce FX and Radeon 9900 cards with after all, don't we?

Update - *Almost wets pants* I just finished downloading the teaser and all I have to say is if that part of the demo is being rendered in real-time (which I imagine it is), we are in for some bloody brilliant fun this year!

The sound quaility wasn't too bad either - at least us reviewers may have something to listen when running endless loops of 3DMark 2003.

You read that right! We just released the first glimpse of our next benchmark, 3DMark03. The teaser requires WM9 codecs, but not the Windows Media Player 9, though it is recommended that you download that too.
