Blackberry's QWERTY Q10 smartphone will not see a US launch until at least May
The BlackBerry Z10 has being delayed for US launch until mid-March, due to carrier testing, and now it looks like the QWERTY keyboard sporting Q10 will be delayed even further. We knew the Q10 would come sometime after the Z10, but not this late.
In an interview with the AP, BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins said that we can expect to see the Q10 make its entrance sometime between 8-10 weeks after the US Z10 launch. All of the delays are being blamed on US carrier's overly thorough testing standards.
Heins also said that the international sales numbers for the Z10 were above and beyond expectations. He did not disclose any actual figures, but he said that "a substantial number of users" had already migrated from their existing platforms to BlackBerry 10.
