Yet another page has been tunred in the continuing saga of the RIAA against digital media. So what have they decided to do? Sue the ISPs!
"We will hold ISPs more accountable," said Hillary Rosen, chairman and CEO the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), in her keynote speech at the Midem music conference on the French Riviera.Maybe one day they'll get the clue that users are tired of buying albums for 1 or 2 good songs. I'm not saying pirating music is good. But I think they should focus on finding a way to take advantage of the transfer capabilities of the internet. CDs typically have about 12-15 songs and cost 15 bucks. So why not offer 1 song for $1? (Or less since there's no cost for media, transportation, etc...)
"Let's face it. They know there's a lot of demand for broadband simply because of the availability (of file-sharing)," Rosen said.
