By: (more) | RAM News | Posted: Jul 10, 2003 5:18 pm

Rambus, along with Elpida and Toshiba today announced XDR DRAM as the world's fastest memory. Code-named Yellowstone, XDR DRAM uses Rambus' XDR memory interface technology. Running at 3.2GHz, XDR DRAM offers 8x the bandwidth of today's best-in-class PC memory.
Earlier this year, both the Sony Corporation and Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. licensed Rambus' XDR memory interface for utilization in future broadband applications featuring their "Cell" technology.
