- nVIDIA GeForceFX 5900 Ultra Review

The guys over at PCSTATs have poked and prodded a Reference GeForceFX 5900 Ultra. How well did it perform? Find out...

PC We were fairly successful when it came to overclocking the nVIDIA GeForceFX 5900 Ultra, it did a nice 500/938, however this is a reference card. This is no indication of what you may get with a retail GeForceFX 5900 Ultra!

nVIDIA have come a long way in the last half year, but they're not out of the woods yet. They must do something about the image quality that their videocards produce. These days a Ti4200 is more than enough to run even the most advanced games.. the reason why people buy the faster videocards are for more eye candy and here nVIDIA can't compete with ATi. It's definitely a great step in the right direction but nVIDIA must not stop now!

- Corsair PC3700 memory

Hexus checks out some speedy XMS3700 TwinX Dual-Channel Memory.

Corsair was, in many people's eyes, the industry leader for high-speed system memory. That's particularly true of 2002, where a number of high performance modules were released under the XMS (eXtended Memory Speed) banner. From pure MHz to low latencies, Corsair seemed to have the top-end RAM situation covered. However, a number of other manufacturers have now surpassed Corsair with respect to pure modules' specification. We've seen OCZ market a number of PC3700 (DDR466) modules, the latest of which ran in dual channel mode with 2-7-3-3 latencies; impressive specifications and performance.

- MSI FX5200-TDR128

GeForce FX 5200 graphics cards are so affordable, but are they actually worth the upgrade? The Hardwarezone takes a nice look at MSI's FX5200-TDR128.

Overall, we find the GeForce FX 5200 products only worthwhile if you are upgrading from very old graphics hardware such as the GeForce2 MX or older and simply require a modern graphics card for general usage. The MSI FX5200-TDR128 as a product is excellent, but given the low-end performance nature of the FX 5200 GPU, and the importance of pricing for this segment, we could only justify awarding it 4 out 5 stars.
