- Inside nVidia with Guru3D

Guru of 3D visited nVidia's HQ in San Francisco earlier in the year and posted photos of the experience, probably much to the dislike of the up-tight security guard.

During a break we were outside the building and started taking some photos as we refused to go back empty handed. After a minute or two, a security guard ran towards us, and forced us not to make any photos. Even when we walked to the open road on non-NVIDIA owned ground, the man would do anything to block my camera.

- 9800 to 9800 Pro with BIOS Flash

Digital Synapses, a new website on the block, has posted an article which details how to trick your Radeon 9800 into think it is actually a Radeon 9800 Pro with a simple BIOS flash. When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is, so proceed with caution.

ATI's Radeon 9800 Non Pro is nothing more than a lower clocked 9800Pro. The 9800 Non Pro does however feature slower memory chips than the 9800Pro, but with a little luck you can easily overclock the memory to 9800Pro clocks. Today we are going to walk through how to flash your BIOS with the 9800Pro BIOS. Flashing the BIOS will result in windows detecting your card as a 9800Pro, and it will have the very same clock speeds.
