- New ABIT website

- MSI 848P Neo

The folks over at T-Break have taken a look-see at MSI's 848P Neo motherboard which is based on Intel's 848P chipset. You can think of this chipset as Springdale minus the dual channel memory element.

With the introduction of 800MHz FSB Pentium4 CPUs, we saw Intel launching two chipsets- the 875P and the 865PE. The 875P was targeted towards the high-end sector whereas the 865PE catered to the average user. Both of these chipsets supported a dual-channel memory controller. Today, we take a look at the MSI 848P Neo motherboard based on Intel's latest 848P chipset. This particular chipset only supports a single channel memory controller and is targeted towards the budget segment. Lets find out if the aggressive pricing puts a major tax on its performance in our review of the MSI 848P Neo motherboard.

- Triplex 9800 Pro

Our kiwi friends over at Overclocker's New Zealand took a look at the Triplex Eye Bomb Radeon 9800 Pro with 128MB RAM.

Overclocking is carried out with default cooling, e.g. stock HSF and thermal grease. The highest working speed is 433Core/715Memory. I was not able to push the card any higher without random lock ups (Have a look at our FAQ on how to overclock a GFX card, and for tips on overclocking your R9500/R9600 cards, have a look here).
