- Antec Overture HTPC

For those of you looking to build a HTPC setup sometime soon, Gruntville have just posted a review on Antec's "Overture" case. Apart from the limited cooling (and why would you want a noisy box in the lounge?) I think it looks great, and would be ideal for most people's needs.

Welcome to the kick off of my attempt at building a HTPC (Home Theater PC). Over the next few weeks and quite possibly into January, the majority of all my reviews will focus on different products for building an HTPC. After all the reviews, I will then be putting together an in depth How-To on setting it all up and what software I tried. Essentially, the biggest difference between your standard PC and a HTPC will be the software (or front end) you decide to use to make it simple for the family to utilize. "Overture" A: the orchestral introduction to a musical dramatic work. B: an orchestral concert piece written especially as a single movement in sonata form. C: A new case from Antec's Lifestyle Series touting the ability to put it anywhere and remain a totally quiet computing experience. How will it look with your prized Home theater equipment? Is it really quiet enough to sit in your living room running at all times without driving your wife nuts? Let's take a look.

- Gainward "Golden Sample" 5950 Ultra

Gamer's Depot have taken Gainward's latest card for a spin and shown us what makes it stand out from the crowd. As is usually the case with Gainward, it's a rock solid performer with plenty of overclocking potential.

We knew that it wouldn't be long before add-in board makers started putting out their own version of NVIDIA's 5950-Ultra graphics solution, and among the first is from Gainward. Many or our readers know that they've been releasing "Golden Sample" video cards for the last few years - which denotes that these cards have undergone special "treatment" to be awarded the moniker.
