- Overclocking Your P4 800FSB

OCAddiction have written up a guide explaining how to go about overclocking your 800FSB P4. It's aimed more at people who've been hesitant to overclock in the past or don't know where to start, but with hardware being much more overclock friendly nowadays you just can't go wrong here.

Today on OCA, we're going to give you a little tutorial on overclocking your new 800FSB P4. It seems these types of systems are getting much more popular, and people are getting rather insane clock speeds out of their hardware. With the 2.4C's and i865PE/875P boards, it's almost like a return to the days of the Celeron 300A and 440BX mobo's. 50% overclocks are not exactly commonplace, but with the right hardware combinations, it's definitely achievable. So, without further ado, lets get this party started.

- Winamp Remote

Bit-Tech have tried out the new "Winamp Remote" bu TekGems. Initially, it's not very customizable but there are other forms of supporting software out there which allow you to do a lot more with it. This could potentially work very well with a HTPC setup.

Remote control for the PC is not new but neither is it particularly common. Companies like Creative have bundled remote control into some of their top range products, but these are the exceptions rather than the norm. Until recently the need for a PC remote control has been limited, mainly due to the fact users are usually sat in front of their computers with all controls within arms reach. But things, they are a changing. More and more people are now starting to make real use of their PC's multimedia facilities. What was once considered something that only students away at university did, is now finding a place in the home, even the living room. Using the PC as a HiFi, DVD player, even a complete home theatre system is common now, and all of those devices have traditionally been remotely controlled! That said, there is a surprising dearth of add-on remote control systems for the 21st century PC.
