Creative SoundBlaster PCI128 v2 Review

By: (more) | Posted: Oct 28, 2001 4:17 am

This review appealed to me, because I own the first edition of the card. The guys at Blue Screen of Death have reviewed the Creative SoundBlaster PCI 128 v2. here's a snippet of what they had to say:

"One killer weapon that the 128 holds though is it's unrivalled DOS support. For those of us who thrive on Wolfenstine 3d and other like games (not me) decent DOS support is essential. The 128 is apparently not compatible with the Soundblaster 16, but with the older Soundblaster Pro board, which shouldn't make any real difference for most older games, although it means that 16bit playback is lost."

This is a rather nice card, available for as little as A$50. Go and check the review out here.
