FutureMark enables Vista benchmarking

The makers of the famous 3DMark gaming benchmark and PCMark have today made an announcement regarding patches which enable Vista benchmarking, among other things.

 

Regardless if you plan on benchmarking in Vista or not, you need to download the latest patch to submit your score online.

 


Fixes & Updates

 

3DMark06 Build 1.1.0:

 

* Windows Vista enabled; (*
* Fixed splash screen on Windows Vista;
* Fixed some Excel issues;
* Improved startup speed by optimizing the SystemInfo component;
* Updated SystemInfo component with support for the latest CPU and graphics hardware;
* Fixed all reported & reproduced issues.

 

PCMark05 Build 1.2.0:

 

* Windows Vista enabled; (*
* Fixed splash screen on Windows Vista;
* Fixed WMP detection;
* Fixed transparent windows issues;
* Fixed looping issues with HDD tests;
* Improved startup speed by optimizing the SystemInfo component;
* Updated SystemInfo component with support for the latest CPU and graphics hardware;
* Fixed all reported & reproduced issues.

 

3DMark05 Build 1.3.0:

 

* Fixed looping issues;
* Improved startup speed by optimizing the SystemInfo component;
* Updated SystemInfo component with support for the latest CPU and graphics hardware;
* Fixed all reported & reproduced issues.

 

Note: 3DMark05 Build 1.3.0 has not been tested, or enabled for Windows Vista. 3DMark05 should only be used in Windows XP SP2 (32bit) with all the latest updates.

 

(* = To run the benchmark in Windows Vista 64bit, please run the application as administrator.

 

Notes:

 

* 3DMark06 Build 1.1.0, 3DMark05 Build 1.3.0 and PCMark05 Build 1.2.0 are the only supported versions. The Online ResultBrowser doesn't allow submissions from any of the previous versions of the benchmarks.
* The new builds are available both as patches and as full installation packages, except 3DMark05 which is only available as a full install package.
* Your current registration codes work for the new builds as well.
