Promise launches SOHO/SMB NAS
Promise has released its first NAS product, the SmartStor NS4300N. It's a rather attractive looking, for a NAS that is, square black box with rounded corners on one side and some silver highlights.
It will take up to four SATA hard drives and it features RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10. It connects to the network via a Gigabit Ethernet interface. It also features one touch backup for the clients, however, it doesn't seem to smart that you have to go and press a button on the NAS to backup your systems.

It also supports an external UPS and it has a pair of USB ports that can be used with external USB drivers or printers. It's compatible with the FTP, SMB, CIFS, AFP and NFS network protocols and it works with Windows, Linux and Mac OS.
