Nvidia GeForce 9800 GX2 out in the wild

By: (more) | Video Cards News | Posted: Jan 24, 2008 4:06 am

Nvidia's dual chip GeForce 9800 GX2 graphics card is set to release toward the end of next month as long as drivers are up to scratch.

Already though the card is out in the wild in China and there is already plenty of coverage floating around. CHIPHELL have many pictures (must sign up to view pictures) of the back side of the card as well as the face plate which shows dual DVI ports, HDMI port and even optical out audio. It is unclear if the GX2 will ship with an audio codec or if the audio is just routed from the motherboard or sound card.

VR-Zone even has some translated benchmarks of the GX2 also from CHIPHELL in games such as BioShock and Crysis but you probably shouldn't put too much faith in those numbers at this stage due to the very early nature of the drivers.

Nevertheless, it's interesting to see. Head on over and decide for yourself!
