GeForce 9800 GX2 release date
A small tidbit of info on NVIDIA's highly anticipated GeForce 9800 GX2 graphics card has been shared by the folks over at TechConnect. They report that a release date has apparently been set for March 11, but given the card hasn't even been sent to partners yet, nor has the final clockspeeds been confirmed then it's hard to have a lot of faith in just a 4 week wait at this point.
The apparent cause for the delay is mainly due to heat/power consumption concerns on the card along with NVIDIA having not been overly impressed with the Quad-SLI scaling side of things.
Set to be presented at CeBIT in early March, the card will apparently not be released at the show in Germany but on March 11, in time to call it a Q1 part but still about a month and a half after the launch of AMD's Radeon HD 3870 X2.
